HOW-TO WYCO WEDNESDAY <<Click here to better understand the chaos that is Wednesday and let me know what questions you still have so I can add to it!
Whewwweeee!!
Fun times were had last week for Mushroom Day! I super appreciate all the love and support from everyone who participated and a HUGE shout out to all who donated to make it a really special day! We gave out over 100lbs of free grains and substrate, a handful of All-In-One bags and agar plates, a bunch of super cool stickers made by @UnderdogArtisan, some sweet agar punches made by @Kapko, absolutely incredible MW branded Mario mushroom containers from @Psilly_Goose and a crowd funded 23qt. pressure cooker! And that’s not even counting the Discord giveaways! Just as a reminder, if you won (or win in the future) a Discord giveaway, please click the “OPEN TICKET” button in the #support-tickets channel to get in the shipping queue so I don’t forget!
I wanted to mention a few things that I forgot/ran out of time for last week. First of all, we upgraded the 2.5lb all-in-one bags to a more comfortable 10T (medium sized) bag so they fruit better, and are now 3lb AIO bags…1.5lb of grain and 1.5lb of CVG substrate.
Due to shipping shenanigans (as far as I could tell), all agar plates are now individually sealed with parafilm before shipping. I heard through the grapevine that vac sealing plates may cause more harm than good, so switching it up so they arrive sterile! So far so good, but I would appreciate any and all feedback on how they arrive.
Shipping also saw a slight rate increase. This is the 4th or 5th time this year that USPS has had a rate hike, and I’m hoping things come down if/when gas prices decrease or after the holidays. It looks like this one is in preparation for the holidays coming up, so if they go back down, I’ll adjust accordingly into 2027.
New this week in the supply section, we have a new “bundle” of grains and substrate! I’ve been experimenting with just adding grain spawn to a bag of substrate lately with tremendous success, and is relatively low maintenance as well. My preferred ratio is 2lb of spawn to 3lb of substrate, so it only makes sense to offer the two together!
And speaking of well performing, simple projects, please welcome to the shop this week, the “Kinky Pack”! This is a variety pack of 3 isolated spore syringes that loooove to be choked! They thrive in a high CO2 environment and typically like to be left alone. Perfect for AIO bags or the grain/sub pack mentioned above. I have at least 10 different varieties that work well in bags that will be included based on availability (no requests please)
Le dice rolls have finally been reconfigured after weeks of teasing! The roll tables will be changing more often (perhaps monthly) so you aren’t always rolling for the same stuffs. The $10 roll has been designated exclusively for the game of “tag” in Discord, and the other two have been changed to a “GENETICS” roll table and “SUPPLIES” roll table. See updated lists toward the bottom of this page.
As promised, the “BLACK BOX” will have a great return next week for Halloween! I typically roll out the Black Box for certain holidays when I have the supplies to do so. It’s a completely custom box, taylored to your needs in the hobby and never disappoints. More details will be explained next week when it returns to the shop.
I absolutely planned on a “regular” post of loving kindness today, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, it’s just a bunch of updates. It would be disingenuous to speak from the heart when the flow just isn’t in sync. I love you all to death and hope you have an incredible week!! Mush Love <3
P.S. With ALL giveaways won on Discord, go to the “Support-Tickets” channel when you win and CLICK “OPEN TICKET” to claim your prize! I will eventually get all gives straightened away, but if you want to get in the queue (it helps me stay organized), just open a ticket after you win and I won’t miss it 🙂 Plus, it’ll ship super quick, rather than waiting for me to scan all past gives to see who hasn’t been shipped yet. Love you!

UPDATES:
Huge shout out to mr. @Psilly_Goose and @Sporecore for coming up with a fun game of “tag” going forward on Wednesdays! Hit the #giveaways channel on Discord, where you can *react* to the “Tag” game to toss your name in the hat for a $10 roll in the mycosino and “pay it forward” by continuing the tradition the following week by gifting a roll to another participating member. IF YOU “SIGN UP” AND HAPPEN TO BE TAGGED: Go to the MW shop and place an order for a $10 Dice Roll. This will allow me to send you what you won with your roll, and “pay it forward” so you can then choose someone next Wyco Wednesday to tag. Anyone that signs up next WW is available to tag, and “sign ups” begin around 5pm CST on that Wednesday in the #giveaways channel. TAG! You’re awesome.
With the community growing as it has recently, I wanted to mention that if you have an issue with any member being out of line, offensive, solicitating, or any cause for concern at all, please reach out to myself or a member of our stellar mod squad and we will take corrective action. We care greatly about the preservation of this wonderful community and will do everything we can to keep it that way. If anyone or anything rubs you the wrong way, @millywyco., @UnderdogArtisan, @Smushem, @LeviathansKeeper and @noir are the go-to’s for reporting any kind of nonsense.
Quick note about giveaways on Discord: I love to accommodate anyone and everyone with these giveaways, but due to shipping cost and unreliability of getting through customs, these are currently for US addresses only. A 1lb box runs around $30 for shipping alone…5lb can be around $100, and some of these gives are heavier than that, running $200+ overseas, with high potential of getting stuck in customs and never actually arriving. If an international myconaut wins one of these, I’d be happy to send some prints or swabs your way…pretty much anything that can fit in a standard envelope and not have to pass through customs screening. Thanks for understanding!
