I do hereby declare today as “April 8the cold” day! Looking forward, it seems old man winter is in the past (for Austin at least) and I’m LOVING this temperate weather! Catch me in a month or two actually melting in triple degree heat, scrounging for a drop of water. But at least right now is niiiice, perfect for nature walks and time on the water 🙂 I hope everyone enjoyed that big beautiful full moon last week, had a pleasant Easter and are finding blades of grass to touch!

I’ve really been enjoying the silence lately over here! I mean, I’m all for jamming out, pretty much any time of the day. LOVE music. I learn a lot from different podcasts and will often throw one on while working around the house. But recently I’ve just felt called to listen and do my thang in peace and quiet, and that has led to some pretty funky (good funky) experiences!

It’s like microdosing meditation! I noticed when I’m jamming all the live long day, I’m boppin’ around, singing, dancing, loving life to the max…switching to a podcast where I attempt to pay attention and discover new things. All that is great! I love it. And when that mood strikes, that’s probably what I need. But sometimes, when I start my day with some silent mindful meditation, I operate on a different frequency, for a little while anyway. When I go about my day in (mostly) silence, I feel that same vibe. I’m more aware and in tune with my thoughts, have been working through some previously unknown mental blockages, and I just feel lighter with less of a GO GO GO attitude. I’m still getting all my “work” done (can hardly call it that) and things have been flowing with ultimate groove.

In this silence, I’ve also picked up on little hints here and there. Belated Easter eggs if you will. Hints from the universe? Hints from a spirit guide? Hints from future me? We just don’t know. But these seemingly insignificant nudges, when acted upon, have led to some more interesting situations akin to synchronicities and that’s just pretty darn cool. I wouldn’t say they’re the typical “blast in yo face and explode your brain” synchronicities, but sync adjacent at least.

These moments have made me more aware and helped keep me calm in times where I may have had a stress response or lashed out with anger. Instead, I’m looking at those situations like it’s another clue on my journey to the next Easter egg. Like for me, technology has been less than perfect lately. Technology failing can really warm my buns sometimes. But this past week, some of those frustrating as hell fails have been met with a calm curiosity on my part. And in every one of those situations (besides the ones I failed of course), that led to some wild sync adjacent happenings.

Sometimes, it’s just a little nudge from the angel shoulder side. If followed, this ends up being a pivotal moment that dominoes into oblivion. And what’s great about that, is as long as I know that is the right decision, I don’t have to rely on my discernment at the time. “You should grab water instead of coffee” type stuff. If that little “angel” is testing your flying abilities, maybe use some discernment. But as long as I’m feeling a healthy/loving vibe and KNOW that is the best decision, I (try to) listen, and that voice is a little easier to recognize the next time around. Satan hates this one simple trick.

Much like meditation (or microdosing meditation), sometimes I get distracted, am thinking about what I’m going to do next, turn on a podcast or whatever and the thing seems to reset. But when I get on a roll WHEEEEEWEEE! Magic.

For me, for this past week, I think silence in most cases was what started all of this. Some weeks, I’m spoken to through music and I need to jam it out. And for you, it might not be silence or the loudest jam you can jam….maybe eating carrots gives you crazy epiphanies. But every once in a while, we have to step back, recognize a routine or pattern that may not serve us, and just change shit up! As a close friend and wise man told me a couple days ago, “We’re all just people going through people shit”. Some of us are on a high, and some are in the dumps more than we’ve ever been before. That’s the beauty and the struggle of being a human. But know that whatever you’re going through, you’re going to make it out better and stronger than ever before. Don’t be afraid to tweak your habits a bit, even if just to see what happens! I’m here for you and I love you <3

If you’re ever superly duperly excited about getting your goodies and don’t want to wait any longer than you have to, feel free to message or email me about shipping via Priority Mail! It usually takes a day or two off transit times! But beware…shipping with Priority on anything with weight can be a tad expensive. Always an option though!

What is that you say? The dice rolls aren’t complicated enough? Say less! These dice rolls make sense to me and the folks that have been around for a while, but if you’re newer here or just curious how they work and I’m not explaining it well enough, feel free to reach out and I’ll try to simplify it for ya. There are currently two options that are vague…#8 on both the active $20 roll and gourmet $20 roll, mention “surprise goodies”. What the hell is even that? We just don’t know. But going forward, we’ll have a separate roll if you choose/roll one of these options. The “surprise goodies” will be determined by this extra roll. For example, if you roll a “1” on the separate roll for this option, you’ll likely have an “ahh, nice” reaction to the surprise goodies. If you roll an “8”, that reaction may be more of a “WHOOOOA DUDE HOLY MOSES!!!” with varying levels of goodies in between. Roll on my friends.

Quick note about giveaways on Discord: I love to accommodate anyone and everyone with these giveaways, but due to shipping cost and unreliability of getting through customs, these are currently for US addresses only. A 1lb box runs around $30 for shipping alone…5lb can be around $100, and some of these gives are heavier than that, running $200+ overseas, with high potential of getting stuck in customs and never actually arriving. If an international myconaut wins one of these, I’d be happy to send some prints or swabs your way…pretty much anything that can fit in a standard envelope and not have to pass through customs screening. If you order agar plates, quick changes in temps can sometimes cause condensation to form on the lids. Condensation is no problem, and will not affect the performance of the plate, but it’s still nice to have a clear view of what’s going on in there! I know for me, condensation is kind of annoying. If it’s still cold in your area, consider bringing your order into the garage or similar area to gradually warm up before entering your loving home to help reduce the drippity droplets!
