What is “WW” or Wyco Wednesday?
Wyco Wednesday started back in 2018 or 2019 with a simple list of what was new and restocked that week. It has since evolved into madness and chaos all kinds of games, promotions, inventory updates, giveaways, and kind words from Milly, your chief sporecaster.
Wyco Wednesday is an “event” of sorts, held each and every Wednesday at 5pm CST (6pm Eastern, 4pm Mountain, 3pm Pacific). Or at least that’s the goal…sometimes Milly is fashionably late. The top part of the post (in BLACK text) is usually random ramblings straight from Milly man’s heart. Take a walk, appreciate nature, treat everyone with love and respect type stuff. Always genuine, never AI. He’s not at all trying to lecture or preach at anyone, but just share some interesting thoughts or realizations over the past week that helped him, and might give others a different perspective on life as well.
Moving on from the blabbery to the UPDATES, found in BLUE text! This covers anything from upcoming projects to be excited about, shipping delays, changes on the Discord server, new genetics or supplies hitting the shop, and pretty much anything else Milly would want to know if he was on the other side of the ship.
And here comes some of the more cornfusing parts! Anything in RED text relates to a giveaway or prize of some kind.
The first part, after “Updates”, shows what freebies are up for grabs on that specific Wednesday. Orders placed after 5pm (when the page is updated) will get something special with their order. Some common gives include limited quantity “unlisted” varieties that are not available in the shop, donations of genetics from community members, or something totally random from my secret stash o’ treats! ALL orders (unless otherwise noted) placed on Wednesday after 5pm will get one of these.
There are usually some other giveaways pertaining to what your order number ends up being, such as “free pack of 10 agar plates if your order number ends in an even number”, or “4lb of grains to order numbers ending in ‘4’”. Both promotions (‘ALL orders’ and ‘order number’ freebies) are automatic and do not require any coupon codes or special communication to receive…you’ll get them along with the order you placed.
Mooooving right along to the “Random question nonsense for prizes” section. This is really where the chaos begins. Milly poses 3 different questions or requests each week, and the first to chime in/answer correctly/post the required image in the #mycosino channel on Discord, wins a prize! The prize has been a $20 dice roll in recent months, but is subject to change. Sometimes they’re pretty simple questions that have no wrong answer and other times they are more in depth and take some time to figure out. Unless otherwise noted, the FIRST person to correctly respond to a question will automatically get a free dice roll, posted in that same #mycosino channel.
Next, we have the “Bucket Pulls” section! Each order number from the previous week is written on index cards and Milly pulls 2 of them out of a treasure chest to win a prize! The video clip is posted in the #mycosino channel on Discord around 6pm on Wednesdays, when the WW page will display the winners as well. These prizes are usually pretty good, and ALL orders are entered to win. After the two bucket pulls are grabbed, we move on to the speed round! Order numbers will be grabbed, one at a time, and have their own pull of a small mechanical slot machine. Milly spins till someone wins! “JACKPOT” winners can choose any item in the shop as their prize, excluding subscription plans, the “Lifer Pack”, 4-pack of AIO bags, and the “Black Box”. Anything else is up for grabs!
What in the everglades is the “mycosino” and how do I get in on the dice rolls?
Well I’m so glad you asked. You can find the #mycosino channel in the MW Discord, 3rd channel down under the “Mycology Discussion” section. This is where the “dice roll” video clips are posted, but you don’t need to be a member in the Discord server to let the universe decide what the dice provide!
Dice rolls have 3 different price points ($10/$20/$35) for the “active” (cubensis/exotics) roll tables, and one $20 gourmet (edible/medicinal) roll table.
Each table lists 8 prizes that are tied to a number on the 8 sided die. For example, in the $35 tier, if Milly rolls a #2 then you win the FOUR 5lb All-In-One bags!
Wednesdays are popular days in the Mycosino because some special rules apply on Wednesday evening dice rolls, but feel free to roll away any day. A short video clip will be posted to show your results. If you’re a member in the MW Discord, use the “notes” text box at checkout when placing your order to let Milly know your Discord name so he can tag you.
On Wednesdays, we have a “lucky number” that changes every week. If you roll that week’s number on your first roll, you get that prize AND a re-roll for another prize!
Also on Wednesdays, if you purchase 2 of the same tier rolls (two $10 rolls or two $35 rolls, for example), Milly will roll 3 times and you can choose your favorite two as prizes!
Also also on Wednesdays, ALL tiers of rolls will also try their luck with a spin of the slots! Ring the bell with a lucky slot pull, and win “The Jackpot” (your choice of almost any item in the shop)
If you PURCHASED a dice roll through the shop, as with a normal order, you need not do a thing! If you have any selections you need to make (choosing 2 on a roll 3 or winning the jackpot), either contact Milly through DM or email, or reply to the video clip in the #mycosino channel.
If you WON a giveaway on Discord, received a dice roll from a generous community member, or otherwise have any prize to claim, please click “OPEN TICKET” in the #support-tickets channel (2nd channel from the bottom under “Mycology Discussion). This is a relatively new system in place and is not at all meant to reduce human interaction and become robotic! Milly loves the frick out of all of you and is always down to chat in DMs. But he is losing childhood memories trying to make space for remembering all the order changes, prizes claimed and all that jazz through DMs alone. These “tickets” give him a to-do list that he simply cannot ignore. Opening one of these makes sure things ship quickly and don’t get forgotten.
