Howdy ho, neighbors!

I’ve given and received much of the same advice this week: don’t force it.

Whether there is a physical obstacle preventing things from going smoothly, or a mental/emotional/energetic hindrance keeping plans from happening how you imagined, I think the best thing to do is to trust your gut. Easier said than done of course! Sometimes your gut it telling you to push through, persevere and overcome said obstacles, and that’s exactly what you should do! Your true intuition will lead you down the right path that was meant for you.

Other times, your gut might be telling you to take the back seat and just go with the flow. Just observe and see what happens. Take a slight pivot and don’t be so set in your ways to follow through with the original plan (whatever that may be). When we follow the projections of our own desires, instead of being in harmony with the oneness of the universe, it tends to lead us down a path of doubt and uncertainty. It often imitates the voice of truth, but does not truly come from within.

Today, I had a few interruptions during the time I usually write and flow this wacky Wyco Wednesday journal blog thingymabob. Not in any way negative interruptions, just unplanned happenings that disrupted the normal flow a bit. My gut was telling me to sit back and just be here now, and so I shall! These are always written on the spot, so instead of trying to force something just to produce words, I’m going to listen instead.

This week, I hope you create, share, love, connect and inspire like you never have before. Continue being the light in this world that we all know and love and be infectious with positivity toward every being you encounter on your path. Follow and strengthen your intuition and allow yourself to be guided by your heart and soul. I love you more than you know <3

UPDATES:

Brand new supply item hitting the shop this week heyooo!! I’ve been experimenting with adding perlite to CVG substrate for better aeration (thanks to the idea from @UnderdogArtisan) and have since expanded said experimentation to CVG MULCH! Instead of fine/sandy like substrate, this coconut coir mulch has much more airflow and in my observation, colonizes much quicker! Speed of colonization isn’t always the main goal, but it’s fun to try new methods and see how it compares to your regular processes. Check it out HERE!

We have a handful of cubensis genetics returning to the shop this week! Cambodian, Corumba Brazil, Dancing Tiger, Lizard King, Mexican Dutch King and Subcubensis are all back in full force woot woooot!!!

HUAUTLA is back in stock after a long break! Working on a few other S. American land races as well and should be available soon! *leaving this stock update here even though it came back a couple weeks ago because it’s just that good!*

I recently received a report of a substrate bag losing its grip on the seal! I have since replaced the heat strip on the impulse sealer and am now double sealing the same strip to ensure this does not happen going forward. As far as I know, this only happened to a few of the super thicc substrate bags and not the normal unicorn bags for grains and AIOs. If you have a faulty seal on any of your bags, let me know and I’ll make it right!

Just a reminder with the injection ports on grain bags (the little black rubber-like disk)…wipe those puppies down with 70% iso before you inject anything! Even though they should be pretty secure in the box they’re shipped in, air EVERYWHERE is filthy and it can pick up some unwanted mold spores. You don’t want to be pushing those right into your perfectly sterilized grains! I personally do not use injection ports…I just wipe the bag with iso and jab right through the plastic. Either way, take every precaution to set yourself up for success!

With the community growing as it has recently, I wanted to mention that if you have an issue with any member being out of line, offensive, solicitating, or any cause for concern at all, please reach out to myself or a member of our stellar mod squad and we will take corrective action. Nothing has happened to prompt this PSA thankfully, but know that we care greatly about the preservation of this wonderful community and will do everything we can to keep it that way. If anyone or anything rubs you the wrong way, @millywyco, @UnderdogArtisan, @Smushem, @LeviathansKeeper and @noir are the go-to’s for reporting any kind of nonsense. We have a few other helpful mods as well, but are enjoying some peace at this time. Your feedback will ALWAYS remain anonymous.

All-In-One bags now come with gallon sized Ziplock bags and a handful of rubber bands! Use rubber bands on the bottom part of the bag to keep the bag snug with the substrate/cake to reduce side pins and have a nice even flush. The gallon bags will not always have a use, but sometimes when fruits outgrow their chambers, you need a little extra room on top for them to stretch. This allows you to clip the top part of the bag off entirely and replace it with a Ziplock to keep that moisture dome with some added height. Your mushies will love ya for the extra space!

Unfortunately, due to (my best guess) temperatures during transit causing agar plates to act a damn fool, I am suspending agar service until the earth cools just a tad, likely post-niño. Couldn’t quite narrow down what is at fault here, and I’m having too many people report that some of their plates are wet or contaminated. Will continue to try and find the culprit with a few volunteers. For now, no agar is listed on the site, but can fulfill by request under certain circumstances. Hit me up if it’s absolutely a need and we’ll make it happen.

Quick note about giveaways on Discord: I love to accommodate anyone and everyone with these giveaways, but due to shipping cost and unreliability of getting through customs, these are currently for US addresses only. A 1lb box runs around $30 for shipping alone…5lb can be around $100, and some of these gives are heavier than that, running $200+ overseas, with high potential of getting stuck in customs and never actually arriving. If an international myconaut wins one of these, I’d be happy to send some prints or swabs your way…pretty much anything that can fit in a standard envelope and not have to pass through customs screening.
