Happy Almost New Year!!

Well, well, well… if it isn’t 2026! Fancy seeing you here. This past year has flown by in many ways and just crawled in other ways…very interesting perception of time these days! I can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store and am very excited for some projects and rabbit holes this community has led me down! I will share with the class as they come to fruition!

The transition into the new year is a great time for new beginnings, resolutions and reflections! And just in time for the last Wyco Wednesday of the year, the great @UnderdogArtisan has blessed us with another batch of swag to share with the community! In place of the trivia stuffs we usually have on WW, head over to the #mycosino channel in Discord and share either a resolution you’re setting for the coming year, or a reflection of one you accomplished this year, and you’ll get one of these cool mushroom patches she made! The award for “Most Helpful” in 2025 goes tooooo @TheMycoVet! And you deserve it my friend! We had a long list of nominations for this award, and I don’t disagree with any name I saw on that list. @TheMycoVet just edged out a few extra votes, but @Noir, @LeviathansKeeper and @Lebenezer were not far behind! Really just about everyone I saw is helpful in their own way, creating a safe space to grow and learn. Thank you all so much for being here!!

The award for “Most Generous” goes out to the great @BingoSmoke! He said he enjoys hanging out with us “young guns of mycology”, and always loves providing supplies that help the community grow as a whole. You make this place a lot more fun my friend! So fortunate to have you in my life and to truly call you a friend. Love you, man!

The “Most Creative” award was by far the closest and toughest to call! It was pretty much a 3-way tie between @itsme, @Smushem, and the entire @Tarkiln squad (@TarkilnForager, MrsTarkilnForager, and Twilight). We have so many extremely creative people in the community and we all appreciate you sharing your creations with us! These all very sweet individuals that would give you the shirt off their back without hesitation. A special shout out to @UnderdogArtisan on this one as well for obvious reasons, and to @FadedPlaid, at least by association for those wicked cool eyeball jars your fiance made the squad! Love you all!

Perhaps the longest list of nominees came from the “Just Vibes” category, where our newest and youngest honorary member of the MW squad took the cake by a long shot! The little bean! Mr. Monty Moon wins “Just Vibes” hands down! We’ll have something special for ya, little fella. I feel like Phobos would be fitting….maybe in a few years.

Finally, the last of the “official” awards, goes to @beerclinton for “Class Clown”! I couldn’t agree more, though I think everyone who chimes in has a great sense of humor. Perhaps an extra helping of sand for you, @beerclinton! We shall see. Runner up shout outs to @DeadPool (I hope your herpes is under control), @1pointsix1 and @noir on this one too!

I also appreciate the suggested awards for “Gourmet God”, with a 3-way tie to @UnderdogArtisan, @Noir, and @TarkilnForager, “Exotic Tamer” unanimously going to @AnonymousMycologist, “Mod of the Year” going to @TheGovernorTTV! And winner of what began as “Best Dressed”, turned to “Best Undressed” (not sure what all you’re sharing privately…might need to have a chat with our mod of the year) and also mentioned for “Best Underdressed”…. I love your vibe and we’re all glad you’re a part of our family here, @D4SH1T Mycology. Dress however makes you feel like the badass self you are, man. I dig it.

A couple weeks ago, I made a few changes to the dice rolls! I removed the few gourmet options from the prize list and made a separate roll table for gourmet stuffs only. The regular 10/20/35 rolls will be for actives only, or supplies and such that go with anything, but mainly for the active seeker. The gourmet only roll table is for a $20 roll and can be requested by adding a note to your order of the $20 roll, saying “For gourmet”. Since this is a new option, give me some grace! I inoculated a ton of grains and spawned a handful of fruiting blocks last week to get them rolling, but if your roll lands on something “fully colonized”, your preferred choice may not be 100% ready quite yet. If that’s the case, I’ll reach out with updates on when to expect shipment.

Patience my friends! Orders for supplies, like grains, substrate and agar, have been on the rise lately. That’s awesome and thank you!!! These are also the most time consuming processes. Supply orders typically ship out on Tuesdays and Fridays so you get the freshest batch possible, but if I end up with a short backlog of supply orders, I’ll email you to let you know when your order will ship. Unless things get really crazy, it should only be a 1 day delay, if any.
