Hey there mushroomheads!

I was talking with @TarkilnForager earlier today and he mentioned the lack of pictures in my posts recently, so here are a few from a short hike this morning. Take that, barefoot chainsaw man! Oooh and happy birthday to the spawn of the chainsaw man, @Tarkiln Art Department (Twilight)!!

Tarkiln informed me that this is a Texas Sage, or “Barometer Bush”, as it often blooms right before a storm hits. Interestingly enough, I happened to notice it as I was on my way back home because it was starting to rain.

This is an older one of Ned that I shared with @LeviathansKeeper a few days ago. Ned has since moved on with his family, thriving elsewhere (I’m sure he’s alive and well). Good for you, buddy.

I was thinking my nature/wildlife pics were really only meaningful to me, since I’m the one in the presence of these blessings from mother earth, and they wouldn’t provide much to you outsiders, but Tarkiln set me straight and brought back the picture book edition to WW. Thanks dude! I also don’t take my phone on 90% of the walks and hikes I take soooo if you don’t hear from me for a couple weeks, check the woods out back.

Back to the chaos of unfiltered thoughts over here! A big ol major theme in my life lately has been the fact that it never ends. Life, lessons and learning, love, tasks, joy, suffering, figuring out what to make for dinner….all of it. It never ends!

You can take that how you want. Go ahead. Take it! You could say in a moment of frustration “oh lawwwd! It just never frickin ends!!!” or you could say in a moment of pure bliss, “ahhh…it really never ends”, or any variation between the two. Some of us feel like an octopus being pulled in 8 different directions, hustling kids here and there, problem solving at work, keeping up with the house, friends/family in need, and on and on. It’s so easy to think, “after the wedding all this will settle down and life will be chill again” or something to that effect. And that may be correct to some extent. There will be no more wedding to plan or big project at work squeezing every free minute of time away from you. But guess what’s right around the corner! Something else. Always something else. It never ends!

I say this because this realization made a profound change in my perception of pretty much everything I do now. I used to have completion as the goal for a lot of my tasks and responsibilities. Not too long ago, I didn’t see the things that were right around the corner. I would make a list of what needed attention, and think, “ok….if I stick to this, in just 2 weeks, I’ll be able to relax!” But even when I stuck to that list, the 2 weeks would pass, and I was making a brand new list of completely different tasks that would take…oh, I don’t know…2 weeks, give or take. And the cycle repeats itself.

Whatever you do…that is, whatever you put your focus and attention and passion and entire being into, make sure you are doing it because that is your gift and you love to do it and share your work with the world, your loved ones or even just yourself. If completion is the goal, not only will you be perpetually disappointed and underwhelmed, but that lack of love will shine through as well. Now I love task based things just as much as the next nerd…give me a list and watch me check that stuff off! It feels good to be productive and the sense of accomplishment you get when you complete something is a great reward. There’s nothing wrong with that. But if your only purpose is to do things to be free, you’re consistently dangling that freedom carrot 2 weeks in front of you. Find freedom and passion and enjoyment in everything you do. You could meditate until you’re Gandhi or do yoga until you’re gumby…you’ll still never be finished. But if you stay true to yourself and realize that everything you do is for your love and freedom and that there really is no end in the grand scheme of life, you are free. Even life has no end! Death is only change. The journey is your destiny, as said by the great Big Gigantic.

When one eye is fixed on your destination, there is only on eye left to find the way.

UPDATES:

Slight pricing update! All cubensis syringes and swabs in the shop dropped from 15 a pop to $12! Shipping charges and supplies that go into shipping have continued to rise over the years, and I always wanted to keep shipping free on your end, but that time has come to an unfortunate end. I can’t ship literally anything in a box for less than $5 these days, not to mention inflation on boxes, tape, bubble wrap and all the rest. Shipping on small orders (up to 1lb) will now be $3 to help offset some of this cost. With the new restructured pricing, orders of only 1 syringe will still be $15 out the door, and most other orders will be saving some doll hairs. Shipping on larger orders with many syringes or supplies are unchanged, and any coupon codes you’ve received from a Wyco Wednesday or otherwise are still honored at the value when they were given.

I also included some “bulk” rates for those who need a good amount of grains or substrate! I put “bulk” in quotes because some of these dealios are for just 4 bags, not necessarily bulk…though if you need 50 bags or something, let me know and we’ll work it out!

The great Albino A+ (AA+) is back in the shop this week heyoo!! Due to my lack of planning and basic life things (it never ends), AA+ and a few other popular varieties went dark for a while, but most of them shall be returning super soon!

Lucid Gates is a brand new one rolling out this week as well! Lucid Gates is a cross of Pearly Gates and Melmac OG that produces some incredibly beautiful fruits. I shy away from posting fruiting pics here, since most of you are only examining these spores under a microscope, but if you have a spare second or three, search on Reddit or whatever forum suits you best and take a gander at those bad boys! As with any true albino variety, this is only available in spore swabs.
