Welcome to the most confusing cubensis name in the history of cubensis and the world as we know it. Damn you, whoever named this one after "Blue Meanie" was already a term for Pan Cyans! 

Panaeolus Cyanescens, or "Pan Cyans" are often called "Blue Meanie", I believe after the bruising color presented when handled (though that happens with most active species). It's a cool name, I don't blame them. Then came along this cubensis variety, also named Blue Meanie by someone wanting cool names for things. Queue mass hysteria and confusion.

THIS IS THE CUBENSIS VARIETY, NOT THE PAN! This one is about middle of the road as far as difficulty examining under the microscope. Not super tough, also not the best one to begin your journey with.
