I'm always experimenting with different things over here (as should you!) and am overly amazed at the results of this one! I've only been working with this mix for a couple months, but in nearly all of my testing, the milo/millet mixed bags outperformed the bags with only milo and only millet by a decent amount! Millet has a much higher protein content than milo and is more abundant in amino acids, which mycelium LOVES! But I think the tiny millet seeds don't allow for much air exchange and the little guys get very compact in a bag. The milo in the mixed bags still provide an excellent food source while making a little extra room in between the millet to breathe. Mycelium chomps down on the milo and races to the high protein millet right around the corner, and colonized MUCH quicker than milo or millet alone.

Grains are sorted and rinsed, soaked for 12 hours and cooked to the perfect moisture content for quickest colonization and most robust growth. Autoclaved at 15psi for 2.5 hours to ensure sterility and promptly double sealed.
