Happy Day of Life!!

I was going to look up what weird holiday it is today, then I was trying to come up with my own made up holiday, and finally settled on LIFE is the holiday! Life is a frickin’ trip, man. I’m tapping on pieces of plastic and like magic, you’re receiving information wherever the heck you are. I can see a beautiful bright red cardinal on a tree and look to the ground below to find a big turd. I can hop and skip with joy, stub my toe along the way and curse, and give my neighbor a huge hug, releasing all kinds of endorphins and happy chemicals in the noggin. I can lower my vibration by doing certain things, raise my vibration doing other things, live in bliss during the good times and feel anger and resentment during depression. The expression of the full spectrum of life in all of it’s combinations and forms and possible pathways is infinite. There is no “cookie cutter” way to live. No manual. No two paths are even remotely close to identical. So many ways to just…feel. So many ways to fully embrace this human experience.

One of my favorite ways to maximize the human experience is to seek knowledge. The curiosity and excitement around learning new things stimulates my brain in a way that makes me feel different, think differently, and shapes the reality around me in interesting ways. The search for knowledge is one of the main contributors to why many of us are in this hobby. And on that never-ending search, we may believe, come across, or at the very least imagine some kind of ethereal beings. To some that may be a higher power or God, to some, spirits, souls, wisps of energy, guides, or little basketball dribbling machine elves if you’re Terence McKenna. Some try to contact these beings purposefully in deep meditation or with the aid of substances, and some have a form of contact unintentionally in a near death experience. It’s fascinating! And sometimes I think of what it would be like to live as some of these ethereal beings. Is this what I will become when I abandon this meat suit? I have no earthly clue.

But from their perspective, they could be perceiving us with similar feelings. Oh, look at the human! He’s skipping and…Oh! Oh! HAAAA! He stubbed his toe! I wonder what that “feels” like. What a trip it would be to FEEL. Oh now, let’s see…he’s on the move again. Oh he spotted another human! I wonder what that’s like to “see” things as a human. Do they see energy like we do? WHOA! Those humans wrapped their arms around each other for a brief moment and their vibration changed drastically! He’s glowing! Ok so now he’s going back inside and eating some berries he picked on the hike, niiice. *ping ping* Vibration raises a tad higher. Do you think he has a different experience depending on what he eats or is it all just filling the tank? Looks like he really enjoys the berries! I bet humans can “taste”, for suuuure. What a trip.

No matter where we are on whatever path we’re permatripping down right now, the human experience is freakin’ bonkers. And it’s easy to look at everything through this lens when things are alright. Right now, I can say life is pretty damn good. Life is a trip, go hug a tree, experience all the highs and lows and blah blah blah. But if you DARE come at me with this hippie nonsense when I’m in the dumps, you can shove that light where the light don’t shine. I just think reinforcing the beauty in the full spectrum of the human experience in the good times can help overcome the “bad” times you think will never end when you’re in it. In either state, we can appreciate everything that life has to offer. We can look back on rough times with strength and resilience, stronger now after having made it through. We can reminisce about all the memories created and feelings felt since then, grateful for the life that was given and experiences shared with others.

When asked what you would say to a younger version of yourself, a common answer is “Everything will be ok”. Just remember, you are currently a younger version of your future self, and that message remains constant.

USPS update: They’re trying. Not entirely sure why we’ve hit a slow point, but I’m seeing some very inconsistent transit times out there. Some packages are flying by in record time, but most are seeing a 2-3 day delay. If you receive multiple tracking emails, your order had to be split up into separate boxes to slide under the weight limit. You would expect those packages to arrive at the same time, but this hasn’t been happening lately. Always feel free to reach out to me if you need an update!

What is that you say? The dice rolls aren’t complicated enough? Say less! These dice rolls make sense to me and the folks that have been around for a while, but if you’re newer here or just curious how they work and I’m not explaining it well enough, feel free to reach out and I’ll try to simplify it for ya (@TheMycoVet also does a helluva job). There are currently two options that are vague…#8 on both the active $20 roll and gourmet $20 roll, mention “surprise goodies”. What the hell is even that? We just don’t know. But going forward, we’ll have a separate roll if you choose/roll one of these options. The “surprise goodies” will be determined by this extra roll. For example, if you roll a “1” on the separate roll for this option, you’ll likely have an “ahh, nice” reaction to the surprise goodies. If you roll an “8”, that reaction may be more of a “WHOOOOA DUDE HOLY MOSES!!!” with varying levels of goodies in between. Roll on my friends.

Quick note about giveaways on Discord: I love to accommodate anyone and everyone with these giveaways, but due to shipping cost and unreliability of getting through customs, these are currently for US addresses only. A 1lb box runs around $30 for shipping alone…5lb can be around $100, and some of these gives are heavier than that, running $200+ overseas, with high potential of getting stuck in customs and never actually arriving. If an international myconaut wins one of these, I’d be happy to send some prints or swabs your way…pretty much anything that can fit in a standard envelope and not have to pass through customs screening. If you order agar plates, quick changes in temps can sometimes cause condensation to form on the lids. Condensation is no problem, and will not affect the performance of the plate, but it’s still nice to have a clear view of what’s going on in there! I know for me, condensation is kind of annoying. If it’s still cold in your area, consider bringing your order into the garage or similar area to gradually warm up before entering your loving home to help reduce the drippity droplets!

For the past couple months, I’ve been posting a *loose* schedule of one or two processes I plan on running for that day, but it seems that in wizardland, schedules are made to be broken. I think I have everything all figured out, and soon after, things get all switched around due to a few unexpected large orders (and THANK YOU for that!).
